About the Cooperation of states-members of Interelectro within the bounds of activity of the Organization

25th of August, 2011 in Astana between JSC "Kazakhstan Institute of Industry Development» (KIDI) and the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) was signed an agreement on the realization of Kazakh-Korean energy and technological development project.
Within the bounds of this project is planned the realization of problems such as cooperation in energy policy, the map of location of renewable energy sources (RES) and the study of the latest developments and technologies in solar energy, wind energy, hydropower and fossil fuels.
This project will be fully funded by a grant from the Government of Korea. During the year 2011 and 2012 to Korea will be sent 10 specialists from Kazakhstan to study the experience of the development of renewable energy sources. Moreover, the project involves the arrival of Korean experts to Kazakhstan for the joint development of recommendations for the development of renewable energy sources in Kazakhstan. For in-depth study of the Korean experience 1-2 experts from Kazakhstan will be trained in the long term (6-12 months) in KIER.
