International organization of economic and scientific-technical cooperation in the range of electrical industry “Interelectro” established on the basis of the Agreement, signed by the governments of several countries, including the Soviet Union, on 13th December, 1973.
To Interelectro is applied the Convention relating to the legal status, privileges and immunities of interstate economic organizations in specific sectors of cooperation, signed in Budapest on 5th December, 1980.
Interelectro, essentially, is an organization, which unites electrical industry of countries and protects their interests.
Secretariat of the International Organization for Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation adjudged the issue of working space of Interelectro’s Secretariat, located in Moscow, Smolenskiy per. 7.

By writ of the Presidium of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation on July 12, 2011 N 3440/07 proceeding of eviction of Interelectro’s Secretariat from occupied building was discontinued.

Official visit to the Republic of Chad

From May 26 to June 1, 2011, an official visit of the Interelectro delegation to the Republic of Chad.
By the invitation of the Government of Chad, authorized employees of the International Organization Interelectro together with representatives of Russian companies JSC "Iskra-energetika Stroymontazh", LLC "Severstroyservis" and "Caspian Oil Company" visited Chad.
About the Cooperation of states-members of Interelectro within the bounds of activity of the Organization

25th of August, 2011 in Astana between JSC "Kazakhstan Institute of Industry Development» (KIDI) and the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) was signed an agreement on the realization of Kazakh-Korean energy and technological development project.
