About the International Association "Intercable"

International Association (IA) "Intercable" created to assist its members in their production and commercial activities. It currently brings together 80 companies - manufacturers of cables, cable manufacturing equipment and cable production materials from 21 countries European, American and Asian countries. In addition, members of the Association are several trading business firms, working in cable engineering.

IA "Intercable" has an office in Moscow (sh. Entuziastov, 5), where located "Electrocable" association, which combines cable plants of the former Soviet Union, and All-Russian Research Institute of the Cable Industry (JSC "ARRICI").

MA "Intercable" assists its members in:

• organization and implementation of scientific, technical and commercial cooperation;

• certification and standardization of cable products;

• search for potential partners among businesses and organizations of the Association, as well as companies and organizations, which are not included in the Association, in order to establish the direct contact between them;

• participation in exhibitions, fairs, conferences, scientific and technical symposia.

Costs of providing services, mentioned above, to the members of the Association are paid by annual membership fees.

Funding of IA "Intercable" realizes by annual membership fees. Full membership fee is paid by full members of the Association. Members, who support the activities of IA "Intercable", pay half of the membership fee, set for full members. Full members of the IA "Intercable" participate in general meetings with right to the casting vote. Members of the Association, supporting its activities, have the right to the deliberative vote. The value of the annual membership fee is determined by a general meeting of IA "Intercable". In 2011 the membership fee was €3000.

Admission to the IA "Intercable" is made at a general meeting of its members through voting by a declaration addressed to the President or Vice-President of the Association and with the recommendation of the admission by one of the Association’s members. Membership in the IA "Intercable" starts from the time of payment of the membership fee. Organizations, which enter the IA "Intercable" pay admission fee in the rate of the annual membership fee.

The superior body of the Association is the general meeting of its members, which is convened no more than twice a year. Resolves on general meetings are made by simple majority of votes, except decisions on the approval of the Constitution and changes and additions, made in it, as well as decisions on the demise of the Association, which are taken, if for them are given not less than 2/3 of the votes.

The Association’s Council is the superior body in the intervals between general meetings. The Council of IA "Intercable" consists of 7 people. President and two Vice-Presidents of the Association are members of the IA "Intercable".

Between times of general meetings of IA "Intercable" members, work of the Association leads by President and Vice-President of the Association.

Executive body of the Association is the Executive Director, who is appointed by the Court of IA "Intercable".

Within the bounds of general meetings of IA "Intercable" members, are organized scientific and technical symposia on urgent issues of cable technology, where can assist members of the Association, as well as companies and organizations, not included in the IA "Intercable". IA "Intercable" takes measures to publish materials from symposia in scientific and technical magazines, which mostly are published in CIS.

The order of entry into International Association (IA) "Intercable"

Company or organization, which decided to become a member of IA "Intercable", writes the application for admission in any form to I.B. Peshkov, the President of the Association. For entry is also required to have a written recommendation of one member of IA "Intercable" (or the recommendation of the Association’s Council.) Submitted application is considered at the next Council of IA "Intercable". When the Council is acquainted with activity of the company-applicant, it gives the recommendation to the participants about the acceptance (or rejection) of submitted application. Admission to the membership of Association is made at the general meeting of the Association by voting, by majority of the votes.

If the company, before entering the IA "Intercable" wants to get acquainted with the work of this organization, it is possible to come to a meeting of IA "Intercable" and, accordingly, the scientific and technical symposium (in the general meeting) as a guest. However, only the President of IA "Intercable” can invite the company to the meeting and only once. The following attendance of the interested company’s representatives at the meeting already means joining the Association. Without the presence of a representative of the company at the meeting, application for membership will not be considered. Each entry organization has the opportunity to speak in front of participants of the meeting with a brief presentation of their work. The new company officially becomes the full member of IA "Intercable" only after payment of an entrance fee, which is equal to the annual contribution, and made up €3,000 in 2011.
